William Boyle An epic knockout live set from one of my favorite bands. Great track after great track after great track. Hard to pick a favorite (especially considering the fact that “Post to Wire,” “Winner’s Casino,” “The Boyfriends,” and “Always on the Ride” are some of the best songs ever), but “A Night in the City” feels especially urgent here. Favorite track: A Night In The City.

Philip Pepperell amazing live set. I saw RF many times over the years and saw them on the final tour, although not this gig. this is a classic set of songs and a good representation of them live, my favourite was always the epic Western skyline so shame its not here, but loads of classics to enjoy old and new, I love the long atmospheric lost in the trees/willamette. Willy was always very funny with his stories made up and true. I miss them so much.

about

Dave Murphy provided this last evidence of Richmond Fontaine on their farewell tour on April 30th, 2016 from the Kilkenny Set Theatre.
It is a good example of late RF and our last performance in Kilkenny. Recorded by Joe Kelly, sound by Dave Holland. This one goes out to especially to John Cleere,Tom Stapelton and Willie Meighan (RIP) plus all our friends in Ireland

The two took their mutual love of Husker Du, Willie Nelson, X, The Blasters, and The Replacements and started playing music together. ... more
